Somehow I slept through a car crash that happened directly in front of my house. I have no idea what time it happened but the EMT folks are already here and gone, so i don’t know if anyone was hurt. All I know is that a beat up looking Honda with Missouri plates is crashed [...]

So much…
It’s been a year this week that A Casual Web Log has been up and running. Thanks for reading!
Last week was a busy one, for sure. Likewise the Thursday before, I went to a hardcore show. Check out Have Heart. They are from Boston and they do it right. I had never been to a show [...]

Con
The network morning shows always do me a treat. This morning I learned how to not fall prey to Internet romance scammers. The tell tale signs, according to the report, included the big three:
spelling errors
poor grammar
being asked for money repeatedly
Amazing. I suppose that since only the first two apply to A Casual Web Log that [...]

Another Week Another Run [s] …
This week I clocked in two decent runs and one session of elliptical trainer/exer-cycle work. I’ve been dealing with a bit of a head cold, and the work has made me feel much MUCH better! Thanks, friends who suggested unless I felt like sleeping all day, to keep on working!
This weekend got a bit chilly. [...]

6876 … Kendal Trail Jacket
6876 is pretty amazing. Check them out here. I dig the aesthetic, the design, and the concept of the label. I was very excited to get the Kendal Tail Jacket recently.
This is a super light jacket that looks fantastic. The polymide material this thing is made from is comfortable, remarkably light-weight and controls temperature pretty [...]

AdiTennis Trainer…
I recently picked up a pair of adiTennis canvas trainers. Excellent. They are a very comfy, great looking shoe.

The laces are a [...]

Jacket, Sweet Jackets…
It’s been too long since I posted anything on here about decent clobber. I have recently invested in two jackets that I am very excited about. I figured that with the cooler weather, it’s a perfect time for a jacket post.
First up is the Faconnable.
I am quite happy to have found a few pieces in [...]

Mappin’
A few months back, the lovely and talented Becky posted a link to Mapmyride in a comment where she succeeded in busting my chops for using the car to check mileage on runs I’ve been doing. I never really had the chance to really use the site, but recently I have and it’s pretty amazing! [...]

The Rev and the Ref…
My man Andy…AKA the Rev. (of Dispatching The Promised Land blog-fame) commented about my recent dream entry (the last post) and how he finally got the musical reference (…for those of you NOT from the Keystone Commonwealth with a history of legitimate stone wash…of course Dokken). It got me thinking about how many of the titles for the posts on [...]
