This is nicely cut, off the rack blazer from J. Ferrar. The stuff that J C Penny’s (or JCP, as they are going by now) is doing is surprising and nice. Good prices (and their unflinching same sax couples in ads is pretty nice to see). I like the small lapel and the pockets on the outside here. Elbow pads are always a plus in my book.
Pardon the angle on the photo…
Yep, Penfield, but not like THOSE Penfield coats. Penfield has gotten a lot of buzz over the last couple years. They make nice stuff, and I was REALLY into this jacket. It’s not their normal MO. Waxed cotton, looks like a cross between a windbreaker/leather jacket…with a hood! Ha! I love this piece. I get a lot of wear out of it. Very nice.
Springstten and Serpico meet the Ramones, meet the 2010’s…with a hood!
When Levi’s does something right, they tend to do it REALLY right. I picked up this super light cord jacket at the Levi’s outlet a couple months back. Their outlet is strange, because they tend to do more of the “factory store” thing, where most of the stuff is the same price as any store around…but when they DO put something on a sales rack it’s usually very cheap indeed.
The one thing I had to get used to on this, was no front pockets, like in a regular jean jacket. Having done so, I’m totally into this.
Note a couple of my fave badges. Enjoy.
This was on the cheap at a local Macy’s a few weeks back and my Missus picked it up for me. WOW. This is a good one.
This is a quilted jacket (and kind of reminds me of what Barbour has done with the quilted jacket), with great features like zip pockets, pockets inside, and corduroy lining on the cuffs and collar!
Surprise find from a line I never thought of!
