Cold-Weather-Coat

COLD day in my neck of the woods. Mr. Simon knows how to keep warm. You do the same, OK?

Samba

The addition of vegan Sambas to the Adidas line is excellent. These are the blue hemp ones. I’m not crazy about the little “hemp” tag, and I’ve been tempted to take an X-acto to it. Otherwise, a fantastic trainer!

Blazer

This is nicely cut, off the rack blazer from J. Ferrar. The stuff that J C Penny’s (or JCP, as they are going by now) is doing is surprising and nice. Good prices (and their unflinching same sax couples in ads is pretty nice to see). I like the small lapel and the pockets on the outside here. Elbow pads are always a plus in my book.

Pardon the angle on the photo…

ZX95

This is a pretty spot on trainer. I like the thickness of sole and how comfortable these are. No leather (obviously), and a proper look. Gray and white.

Belsnickel

Belsnickel

Belsnickel is a kind of anti-Santa Clause in some ways. I’m interested in this for a number of reasons…the least of which not being that this tradition comes from the region of Germany where my Grand Dad was born (and where I still have some family!). The traditions are still practiced in some PA Dutch communities in my beloved home of Pennsylvania.

Very interesting! Check it out HERE.

A couple of proper bits of cotton from Brooks Bros. Style. Nice business here.

Flat Cap

Scally cap, flat cap…dare I say…”driving cap”…whatever you call them they are pretty much on point.

Grey is the American Rag line from Macy’s. Black is from Target. Blue is Irish linen.
