I’m finally reading Guerin’s Anarchism. I love his stuff. No Gods, No Masters is excellent, as well. In addition to this book, the cover design has always struck me. I really dig it.

Penfield

Yep, Penfield, but not like THOSE Penfield coats. Penfield has gotten a lot of buzz over the last couple years. They make nice stuff, and I was REALLY into this jacket. It’s not their normal MO. Waxed cotton, looks like a cross between a windbreaker/leather jacket…with a hood! Ha! I love this piece. I get a lot of wear out of it. Very nice.

Springstten and Serpico meet the Ramones, meet the 2010’s…with a hood!

Walsh

Saw these Walsh trainers over at Oi Polloi. Very nice look. I wish they were vegan. Some of their fen/trail running trainers are all vegan materials. UK made. Very nice.

Brogues

It’s hard to go wrong with a proper looking pair of Brogues. I have posted about this on here before. I found these totally vegan brogues at Target (of all places!…trying to be a kind of M&S for the US, maybe…). These were reasonably priced and my lovely Missus bought them for me. They are shockingly comfy. I love ’em.

Barbour

This is the polyurethane coated, lined Barbour Beaufort. This is the “weather-worked” variety (although, being a bit old, I’m sure some of that weather-working was done by yours truly). As I said, lined, so warm as hell. Best cold winter coat. And for context, this was the coat I was wearing with the CP bucket hat that my work-mate made the Walter Matthau comment about. Indeed.

SOFTEST collar, more pockets than the law allows, as they say, and generally an all around well made comfortable, warm winter coat. Love this one.
